How to choose the right straightline edging machine for flat glass processing?

-Which kind of polishing do you need ( rough, polished, bright polishing),

-The glass thickness you are going to process ( which is going to define the wheels number for the glass egde and for the arises)

-The processing speed you need ( or how many meters you are going to process a day, a week.. with your straightline edging machine).

For exemple for a good machine in proper conditions you can process 10 mm glass with a 1,8/2 meters per minute speed for a bright polishing.

How to choose the right straightline bevelling machine for flat glass processing?

-The first thing to have in mind is the speed you need to reach for bevelling( on average, because depending also from the bevel width)

-Is your operator able to adjust the bevelling machine by himself or do you need an automatic adjustment for the bevelling machine?

-Do you need also to edge your bevels?

Generally speaking if you have an edging machine the edge will be carried out on this machine.

For small or medium production you have to choose a 4 diamond wheels ( metalic + bakelit) machine and for large production a 6 diamond wheels ( + 3 felts) machine.

Beyond the machine adjustment is not easy

Do you want only to bevel or also to edge your glass?

What is your operator technical level ? There are manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic machines on the market( a semi-automatic edging machine is a good help but it is only a help. It is your operator which is going to carry out your bevel)
