Loading and unloading robots
These kind of machines arrived on the market only few years ago. At this period it was mainly to load and unload numerical control machines working with a very high speed on small glass thicknesses.
But it is now also possible to meet them for other fields like the folllowing one, where the robot unload and load two straightlines edging machines working on the same glasses.

The glass is unload on the oulet conveyor, turned with 90° and load on the second machine inlet conveyor.
It is an "intelligent " system with a machine able to move on 6 or 7 axes and with a small suction frame to seize the glass to load and to unload.
The robot learns the movement to carry out from its own software or it can copy them from the example done by the operator with the robot remote control.
When repetitive movements require flexibility, speed and precision for a reasonable cost a robotic solution can be studied.
Moreover this kind of solution offers important safety working conditions and the robot warranty movements with a precision under 0.1 mm.
On the flat glass market these solutions are very popular in the solar panels production lines in Europe.
