Double glazing lines, middle size production
In this case we speak about lines with a maximum production capacity around 300 pieces a day.
A double glazing line is built with the following machines

The washing machines :
The minimum number of brushes for a double glazing line is 6 (3 pairs of brushes). Some suppliers propose machines with 4 brushes, but it is not serious because this way you can’t be sure to have a perfect glass washing.
Due to the Low emissivity glass, on the washing machine inlet conveyor there is now a detector for the Low emissivity glass side.
When this kind of glass is detected, the first pair of brushes move away from the glass a,d the washing machine must be equipped with special brushes.
On the outlet conveyor are located lamps to check the glass washing.
The frame position devices
Here the two glass and the frame are manually or automatically assembled.
The first glass arrives and stops. The aluminium frame is put on the glass. The second glass arrives and is softly pushed on the frame.
Now the double glazing is ready to be sent inside the press for the coupling.
The press:
They are two different kind of coupling press available on the market :
-Press with rolls: the double glazing moves in a continuous way inside the press where two rolls on each side of the glass press the glass to carry out the coupling.
Press with plates:
The insulating glass unit enters inside the press and stop. The two plates press the double glazing to carry out the coupling. Some parameters are adjustable (pressure, time…).
The outlet conveyor can be tilting for sealing on the large insulating glass units.
