Half automatic shaped machines
There are some different kinds of machines able to carry out:
-shaped edges
-shaped edge and bevel
-shaped bevel
-bevel polishing
More than 90% of the machines present on the market edge and bevel shaped glasses
With the straight line edging machine (and the essential belt machine), it has been for years the basic machine for a glass processing company, because it is versatile (it is even possible with a good operator to carry out straight bevel)
But there are mainly manual machines needing a trained operator to drive it. The machines are only a support. So, if you don't have such an operator in your company it is essential to have a good training with the installation.
To operate properly this machine needs a 3x3 meters space, better in a corner of your workshot (because water projections)

You must have a look on
-The easyness to drive the spindle for the operator (light, smooth, precise)
-Changes between small and large pieces processing (plate change or position change on the same plate)
-Tools position memory on Z axe (for edges but also for bevel widths)
-Wheels wearing management (mainly for bevel).
-Possibility to have several wheels together on the spindle.
But with the arrival in the main glazier of a cnc machine this kind of machine is less and less popular in the important glass companies.
