Laminated glass cutting tables
Even if the laminated glass arrived on the market a lot of years ago, and if some laminated glass cutting tables were available, this kind of cutting tables started to be strongly required only early 2000 years. Now it is one of the more dynamic area of the flat glass processing machines market.
To cut laminated glass means to cut together 2 glass sheets and the PVB sheet located between the 2 glass.
To do this, the cutting table must be equipped with a special bridge, with 2 cutting and breaking devices for the glass and one cutting device for the PVB.
For the PVB cutting the machines suppliers propose two different solutions :
An electric resistance which heats up the PVB and breaks it.
a blade which enters between the 2 cut glass pieces and cut the PVB.
The working cycle is generally the following:
Glass loading.
Usually these cutting tables are equipped with tilting forks allowing to load the glass vertically and to install it on the table in an horizontal position.
Glass positioning.
Under the cutting bridge, automatically with reference pads or manually with the air cushion.
Glass cutting by the two sides (top and bottom)
Breaking for the two glass
Glass separation with bars and suckers.
PVB cutting
Recently the more important suppliers have started to propose optimization software for laminated glass cutting.
For the companies with only small laminated glass quantities to cut there is an interesting solution (option) which can be supplied with a standard float glass cutting table.
With this option (sotfware + small hardware device) you can cut the 2 glass sheets turning the glass and cutting it on the two sides.
You can after cut the PVB manually or with an electric resistance device option.
