Euradif. Glass doors
Euradif celebrates twenty years. The family business, founded in Erquinghem-Lys with two employees in 130 today and has become a key player in the opening (doors) in France. No way to stop there: 15-20 hires will further inflate the numbers and € 2.5 million will be invested in the Béthune site.
Long gone are the small workshop of Erquinghem-Lys where Jean-Gabriel Creton and its only employee imported decorative panels for doors manufactured in Britain!
Twenty years later, the CEO of Euradif is the head of a flourishing SME, become a "key player in the opening" 130 employees, a turnover of € 17 million in 2014 and 70 000 products manufactured two sites, and Verquigneul Godewaersvelde (indoor Flanders).
After a relative soft coup in 2014 (- 10% in an industry down 20%), revenues should start rising this year (+ 7%) and the boss hopes to return to a double-digit growth by 2016. "We are protected because the decoration of the doors is a niche business. I am very optimistic. "
Doors, gates and doors yet
This success is based on constant adaptation. After the bankruptcy of its British partner in 1999, Euradif, hitherto simply importing, starts production. This has greatly diversified since traditional beading panel doors, high thermal performance doors, PVC doors, wooden doors, aluminum doors, pivot doors, armored doors, doors monobloc ... Hardly the gates of the penitentiary does not manufacture qu'Euradif!
Each change was accompanied by significant investment. The plant has expanded several times, moving in Bailleul and Godewaersvelde before arriving at Futura Park in 2008, in a building of 8000 m² purchased € 2.1 million to Gaz de France. Since then, the number has doubled from 65 to 130 employees.
It took reinvest Godewaersvelde (3700 m²) and push the walls of Verquigneul. Over € 3 million was invested in land Site Béthune. After a first extension in 2011, a building of 3000 m² was built in 2013 to host the digital machine glass cutting and workshop manufacturing aluminum monobloc opening.
2.5 million euros invested by 2017
The equipment is no exception: since 2012, Euradif disbursed nearly € 4 million for a size, servers, CNC machines, test benches, aluminum workshop ... In 2015, a showroom 150 m² was inaugurated; more than 70 doors are exposed.
Jean-Gabriel Creton does not stop there. By 2017, it provides 2.5 M € investment two gluing lines and automatic assembly for producing aluminum monobloc opening join the factory. Fifteen to twenty hires accompany this new equipment.
And for the profitable expansion of the plant in 2013: "1000 m² would have been enough for the glass cutting plant but since the machines were there, we took 3,000 m² to accommodate the new lines", which will arrive in February 2016.
Not a reason to rest on its laurels. Jean-Gabriel Creton recently visited a coating line, technique he has long been thought reserved for chemists.
The CEO is seduced but "it would invest € 1 million, not counting the building." To be continued ?
Euradif is ...
17 M € turnover (2014).
130 employees and hires from 15 to 20 planned by 2017. In 1995, they were ... 2.
70,000 products per year.
2 production sites, and Verquigneul Godewaersvelde.
Made in France. The majority of components from Europe, only two are from Asia. But imagine a door 100% blue, white, red, it is impossible: "There is more French manufacturers in hardware. "
