TECNOPORRO s.a.s., specializes in the clarification and purification of water and sludge from the working processes of marble, granite, ceramics, and other materials.

Polytechnic engineer (X81) and doctor of physics, Thierry Braine-Bonnaire has been in charge of the MECD Institute since 28 February 2017. Previously, Thierry Braine-Bonnaire has always worked in the construction sector: project engineer at Coyne and Bellier (now Engie / Tractebel Engineering), responsible for the fire safety department of the Scientific and Technical Center for Building (CSTB) and then, at ArcelorMittal, in charge of Innovation in the Corporate Construction department before having responsibility for the Construction Portfolio within Global R & D. Founded in 2010, the MECD Institute brings together the four industrial technical centers (CTI) of the construction sector: CERIB, CTICM, CTMNC, FCBA, and four university laboratories: Institut Pascal (Université Clermont Auvergne, CNRS), LaSIE Rochelle, CNRS), LMDC (INSA Toulouse, Paul Sabatier University), SPCTS (University of Limoges, CNRS). The CTI Network, the coordinating structure for ITC activities, is also a member of the MECD Institute.
