Concours d'architecture in natural stone
The Syndicat SNROC and the magazine Pierre Actual organize an architectural competition to reward works made of natural stone extracted or transformed in France.

In addition, a special prize and a great prize will be awarded.
The winners will be crowned during the Rocalia fair, which will be held in Lyon in December 2017.

EUROPEAN FESTIVAL OF THE STONE 2017

Welcome to the European Stone Festival 2017
Thank you for your interest in the European Stone Festival, a meeting point for stone cutters and sculptors from all over the world.
What is the European Festival of Stone?
From 19 to 21 May 2017, we will welcome more than 120 young stone cutters and sculptors from around the world to Kiskunfélegháza. They will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and creativity to a wide audience.
Since the end of the 1990s, in Freiburg in Brisgau, the festival has become very popular and has already been present in many European countries. The city of Kiskunfélegháza is strongly associated with the secezzion and the Puszta. This year the festival is organized by the Association of Stonecutters and Sculptors of Hungary and the City of Kiskunfélegháza.

If you are an apprentice, companion or master stonecutter or sculptor and you wish to participate in the festival in Kiskunfélegháza, you can register until 05 March 2017.

What does the European Stone Festival offer to visitors?
Visitors will have a unique opportunity to see artisans very closely and watch them work over their shoulders. The festival will present the fascinating world of art and stone and of course there will also be a number of regional specialties. The visitor will have time to observe the progress of the work on the stone, to relax with good music and to have a small snack. The last festival in Salzburg in 2016 saw more than 15,000 visitors.
