Verreries de Bréhat find a new lease of life
This Living Heritage Company made the bet more than twenty years ago to manufacture its chandeliers and other high-end glassware on the Breton archipelago of Bréhat. Stéphane Neumenger had taken over the business from his father Yves two years ago, but a serious breakdown of the electric oven very quickly forced him to file for bankruptcy. Two businessmen bought the assets, the glass factory is restarting on new bases.
Diamond resin wheels improving
The wheel is lighter, resulting in less stress on the spindle
The slats on the base have been specially designed so that the water is sprayed, and there fore reaches the point of contact between the grinding wheel and the glass uniformly and in the best way possible
The material ensures greater rigidity and therefore more direct transmission of pressure levels set by operators
The base guarantees perfect balance of the grinding wheel.
lAl these new features don’t definitely affect wheel quality in terms of bonding, that is still the same, but they simply improve performances from a mechanical point of view
